Summary
My research focuses on using innovative information technologies (wearable devices, sensors, big data, and artificial intelligence) for secondary prevention and improving outcomes in people with diabetes and cardiovascular disease. I have proven skills in design and conduct large-scale epidemiological studies, clinical trials as well as transnational and implementation research testing effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of digital health interventions. I collaborate with the Global Burden of Disease and NCD Risk Factors Collaborators and am a member of the WHO-ITU Working Group on Artificial Intelligence for Health.
