Diplomate of Australian College of Chiropractic Paediatrics (DACCP) (Post-graduate)

Offered for the first time in 2013 the Diplomate program is a two year chiropractic paediatric course.

The first year of the Diplomate program is being held in Melbourne and Sydney during 2024.

The second year of the Diplomate program is being held in Brisbane and Perth during 2024.

The Diplomate program is Australia's leading and most well recognised post-graduate chiropracitc paediatric training program and features Australia's leading children's chiropractors as lecturers and presenters.  This course is ideal for the family chiropractor wanting to improve his or her knowledge in chiropractic paediatrics. The emphasis is on conditions and management issues which are commonly seen by the family chiropractor.  Up to date evidence based management and treatment is a key feature of the Diplomate program to assist you to provide optimal care for your paediatric patients.  You will be taught by chiropractors whom only see children allowing you to benefit from their extensive clinical experience; this makes the Diplomate program a unique and stand out program within the chiropractic community.

The course is structured around 21 four-week modules over two years . Each module consists of required reading, exercises and at the end of each four-week module there is a six-hour seminar. Each six-hour seminar will reinforce the reading and develop the practical and management skills needed to feel confident in providing optimal chiropractic care for children.  The Diplomate is completed by passing two written examinations and a practical examination.

Certificate Australian College of Chiropractic Paediatrics (Post-graduate)

Available since 2005, this course is ideal for the family chiropractor that wants to improve their knowledge in chiropractic paediatrics. The emphasis is on conditions and management issues which are commonly seen by the family chiropractor.

The course is structured around ten four-week modules. Each module consists of required reading, exercises and at the end of each four-week module there is a six-hour seminar.  Each six-hour seminar will reinforce the reading and develop the practical and management skills needed to feel confident in providing optimal chiropractic care for children.

The reading material is based on three hours of your time each week. This means there will be a total of 12 hours of reading material for each Module.  The reading material will include key, relevant and up to date journal articles, reference material for use in practice, information from key texts and video or PowerPoint presentations.  

Since 2013, the Certificate Australian College of Chiropractic Paedaitrics forms the first year of the Diplomate of Australian College of Chiropractic Paediatrics. The Certificate requires passing a 2 hour written examination. The Certificate requires completion of a 2 hour written examination.

Fellowship in Chiropractic Paediatrics

The Fellowship program has been available since 2002 in Melbourne, Australia.  The Fellowship program is a full time (three year minimum) or part time program (five year minimum) which provides the most comprehensive paediatric education available to Chiropractors anywhere in the world.  The Fellowship program involves about 20 study hours and 20 clinical hours each week (full time) over a minimum period of 3 years. Clinical experience is in a Paediatric only clinic with supervision provided by registered chiropractors who have completed the Fellowship program. The Fellowship program will generally take 3 years and will involve a minimum of 2400 hours of clinical experience and 2400 hours of academic involvement.
